These are not just waterproof⦠THEYâRE TRULY PEE-PROOF. Cat pee-proof to be specific. I have 2 territorial male cats that have a never ending pee marking battle on my furniture. Iâm not talking a little spraying⦠they empty their whole bladders on my couches and beds. Iâve tried several brands of waterproof blankets and none stack up to these. ZERO smell or leakage on anything underneath them. Theyâre thick, super soft & comfy, high quality material, durable, I could go on and on.Hereâs the only con: they take a long time to dry after washing them. Truly water resistant..but to a fault
I have 4 cats….but 1 of them for some reason (yes she’s been seen by her vet) will from time to time leak or pee on the sofa when she is stressed. We got this blanket to put over our couch bc the kitty is witty and will only pee on it when she is either alone or at night while we’re asleep. So the first thing I did was to test if it can really protect any liquid from going through. And it sure the heck does! Now, any time I buy fabric, first thing I do is I wash them. I do not use things straight out the packaging. I preface it because it is important to know that once you wash this, you will probably have to run it through your spin cycle two extra times. It holds water so well it needs to be rung a couple more times. And even then, I still had to squeeze out the corners to get excess water off. It will take forever to dry in your dryer. You are better off setting it to dry outdoors in your yard, or balcony if you have one. Just allow it to sit in the Sun for a full day. It sounds like a pain in the butt but it’s well worth it if your goal is similar to mine – you’re avoiding your pets from ruining your furniture. I will probably put this through the washing machine maybe every couple of months or so. My cats are not very dirty little creatures so I don’t anticipate needing to to wash this often. I just like my new stuff to smell like downy and not storage. Plus I’m skeeved about using unwashed items I just purchased. Long story short…too late – dont get discouraged when washing it. You’ll want to throw it away and itll seem like it will never dry. It will….eventually. if you live in an apt, let it hand over your shower rod. Live in a house, put it out to dry under the sun. Lastly, it’s super soft and warm. Serves great as a cuddle blanket too. Just dont get it dirty. Washing it is a trek!

It’s beautiful and it past the test as soon as I got it I put it on my sofa. I put her on it she loves it and she peed on it , it did not leak. I flipped the corner over no wet spot. I wanted something that would not leak on my sofa. It’s really thick and feels great so plush. I got 2 and I’m glad I did. It did not have any chemical smell either it looks if good quality and large size. Pretty big I was able to put her pee pad on the end and still have play area. Also wanted something pretty since I’m using it on my sofa . Win win I’ll buy again.

It’s wonderful and soft! Reviews were correct. I bought the biggest size and it is h u g e, so be sure to run the spin cycle twice so all of the water is wrung out. It dried great on the bulky setting on our dryer, and the texture stayed the same. I got the blue and black and they’re a very nice color. Time and washings will tell for durability.
