   Top Tier Per Carrier
   Here’s a lengthy review! Price point is unbeatable for the sturdiness, size, and material. It’s very, very spacious. I really like the ventilation holes on the sides to prevent from any paws coming through – that being said some cats may fit their paws through the door squares. It is extremely sturdy, I really like that it comes with bolts for extra security in addition to the four latches. It’s a bit tight to screw the bolts into the nuts but once you’ve got it, be sure to extra tighten with a screwdriver. It has two doors for ease of use, especially useful for animals who refuse to go in through the front door or for animals who may not be keen to coming out the front at vet visits. The top door allows easy access. The bottom seems like it may be slippery so I am considering a small mat or pet bed to make it comfier for my cat. I have purchased this and assembled it in advance for an upcoming vet appointment. Hoping to leave it out and open so as my cat can adjust to seeing and being around it to avoid as much trouble as possible when appointment day comes. Assembly is fast and easy, instruction manual is helpful if you get stuck. I was stumped on how to open the top. I have attached a small clip to show. You rotate one of the top bar latches, pull it out and up while it’s pulled out. Either side works, so the top can be opened left or right bar. There are also attachments for carrier belts/straps which is not a necessity for me, but I’m sure is useful for many others. My cat has broken out of two pet carriers (both fabric based), and has refused endlessly to going into a smaller plastic one with only a front opening. I am extremely pleased and confident this cat carrier meets all of the needs for her & that I will not be looking for a replacement any time soon.

   Perfect size and good for a cat who was wetting his soft carrier
   We have a cat who has always been a nervous traveller, but recently started wetting whenever he is placed in his soft carrier. The soft carrier is hard to wash, so after the most recent incident (a vet visit), it occurred to me that a hard carrier would be much easier to clean. With this in mind I started a pretty comprehensive search and found that while the PetMate carriers seem to get the best reviews for build quality, there were none that were the right size for a 13lb adiult cat. Their smallest is tiny, and the next one up seems too big to carry. I ideally wanted a 2 door carrier, and a one that would work in the car, but could also be carried the few block to our vet. Somehow I came across this Amazon carrier and I have to say it’s perfect. I love that the two halves screw together so there is no chance of separation, it is exactly the right size, and the top and front gates seem to work well. To help with the wetting issue I just put a couple of disposable puppy pad in the bottom, but oddly enough our cat seemed less stressed in this carrier on the last vet trip and did not wet. If he had, it would have been a super easy cleanup with the disposable puppy pads and hard case. The only negative to this carrier would be that the handle could be a little more sturdy feeling and bigger/more comfortable. It feels like it could fail even though it was ok going to and from the vet recently. The plastic is solid enough, though with a medium weight cat the top will flex a bit when lifting. Lastly the price is fantastic for everything this carrier offers, and it’s actually attractive looking. Overall it’s a great product and I am very happy with it.

   Fantastic – Easy to Assemble w/out Tools
   Just the thing I was looking for. Easy to assemble, spacious and has extra windows for viewing. The front door opens BOTH ways (to the left or right) which is a nice feature. Lightweight and sturdy. Great price.

   Great value, does the job
   I love the top hatch!!! Can open on the left or right side. Can also choose which side the front door opens too while assembling it. Took maybe 10-20 minutes to assemble. Durable, good construction. No odor. Got the cat safely to the vet twice. He was upset, but unable to break out of the crate, so 5/5 for me! Put in some bedding so they won’t hate the plastic bottom. Just buy it! Fits a 10 pound cat comfortably.

   Great for cats
   The design of the carrier and the gate is very good, far superior to other crates we have had. With multiple screws holding the crate together and a gate that is more intuitive, we are very pleased so far. We put a padded pet bed into the crate and our cats travel comfortably in the car. Just before placing the cat into the crate, I do a brief spray of Feliway into the crate, which helps to calm the animal and make them more willing to enter from the front. There seems to be sufficient airflow for their comfort. I like to place the front of the crate so the cats can see us, and usually they sleep once we are on the highway.

   Love this, sturdy, well made, easy to assemble…has a front metal door, opens easily and locks securely…topdoor on the top of cage easy to open…locks securely…much larger than I expected…will comfortably hold my large cat…but will comfortably hold a Dachshund sized dog…cage snaps together but you can also use 6 screws for added security …in the video I was able to open all doors using one hand…great carrier
