German Shepherd puppy doesn’t like it
I bought the Proplan puppy food for large breeds for my 8 week old German Shepherd puppy. She doesn’t like it, she prefers to eat the Proplan shredded chicken and rice blend that my adult dogs eat. I’ve decided to just feed her that because the protein isn’t much different from one to the other. I’ll just mix the puppy food with the adult food for now to use it up. This is the second time that I’ve had a puppy choose the Proplan shredded chicken food over the puppy food, maybe it’s because of the actually dried chicken pieces in the adult food.

I had a hard time finding this in stores, for whatever reason. It wasnât delivered in exactly 24 hours, but close. It came in a huge cardboard box which made it a monstrosity weighing over 32 pounds. Not sure that was needed.

Our veterinarian is very please that we are feeding Pro Plan for puppies with our own puppy. It is a great source of nutrition. Our Golden Retriever mix is already a big boy at four months old. Itâs pricey but worth it to have a healthy dog.
