Works like a charm
This works a lot better than a gentle leader (for my pup). I guess itâs a lot more comfortable than a gentle leader too, as my pup accepted this halti and walks perfectly on it where as the leader he kept trying to paw off his face. Itâs very easy to set up, some people were saying theres didnât come with instructions and I frankly canât remember if mine came with some but I didnât need it. Itâs very easy to understand how it works. My pup is an in training service dog and he does have a habit of slight pulling and this did help a lot. I wouldnât recommend for very aggressive pullers as it might hurt their neck but if your pup needs correction every now and then, I think this would be perfect! Durability wise I think itâs just fine. Itâs not fraying at the seams but of course itâd break if you let your pup chew on it but I think itâs very sturdy on its own.

Halti- best head collar
We were originally using the Gentle Leader but were not impressed with its quality. So, we decided to try the Halti and it works so much better on our 72 pound Boxer/American Bulldog mix. The halter is well constructed and has a nicely padded nose band. I like the strap that attaches from the halter to his regular collar. Our dog has some on leash dog reactivity episodes. The Halti, combined with getting him to focus on me via treats, is very beneficial when he has a reactive episode vs using strictly a martingale collar.

Very gentle on your dog
Love the ease this item has for helping train my service dog! He loves to pull (he’s only a year old) as he has a LOT of puppy left in him ð However, when he has his halti on, jes much calmer & less likely to pull. Best description I can think of is to think how a bridle works on a horse. Control the head & w gentle pressure everything else follows. Absolutely LOVE this product because I now don’t worry about him pulling so hard as to hurt himself.

My girl doesn’t like it much, but it keeps us both safe
I’d like to say my dog loves the lead. She doesn’t. It goes around her nose, and she doesn’t like that. But she like chasing squirrels far more than I like chasing after her while she is chasing them. She accepts the lead with resignation but isn’t throttling herself in her enthusiasm for the chase. I call that a win. It doesn’t hurt her. She can’t slip it off easily, although she has managed it once. The safety clasp kept the halti attached to her collar and thus the leash. She is a husky/blue heeler mix, and her ‘come when called’ response can depend too much on the presence of other furry things. The safety clasp keeps her from running off after her nose and the halti itself keeps me from being yanked off my feet.The really good thing about it is the progress we’ve made on loose lead walking and polite interaction with people. A firm grip and a little downward pressure on the lead keeps her from jumping on people, to the point now she is automatically sitting to get attention from them. This is a great tool to use while working on overcoming some of the intransigent behavioral issues dogs can have.

Amazing. I walked my girl and she didn’t pull me down the road.
This just arrived about 30 minutes ago. While my girl wasn’t thrilled with it, she was happy to go on a walk (we don’t do this often, because my back couldn’t take her pulling me down the road, she weights only about 5 lbs less than I do). Anyway, We took our first short walk and I would consider it a success! She did not pull me around, so we got to walk a little bit longer.My girl is a 107lb boxer labrador mix (who needs to lose about 15lbs). I will update this review if I am not absolutely satisfied with it after further use.I ordered two sizes as I have two dogs (one is a foster) and I haven’t yet tried it on the foster as she has a URI and I don’t want any pressure on her nose at all right now. I will update how she does hopefully next week.

To correct canine pulling at leash.
I work with my German shepherd and leash pulling is her bad habit. She is only 2 so still a bit immature.I bought this because my GSD community couldn’t stop praising it. It does help but please, just like the reins of a horse. Yanking and tugging DO NOT HELP it only makes matters worse. Use gentle guidance. Just relax and eventually your furry companion will too. Think that when you are holding the leash it is made of dry twigs, if you use a heavy hand you’ll mess up your dog and make walking your dog as big a chore as it was before the device.Also, you could severely injure your dogs neck by yanking or pulling. Worst case scenario, simply stop walking. If you aren’t moving forward, your dog isn’t likely to do so. Walkies are supposed to be enjoyable for you and your dog both.This item is well built. An added bonus to the head harness is an added strip of reflective material. It gets bright when only a little light hits it. Sewing looks good, release is a little too stiff but that will change with use. I love both the principle behind this idea and love the construction. However, it got rated 3 stars because instead of instructions, you get a YouTube video. I shouldn’t have to do that. I like instructions, I can read, can’t type but hey, I’m retired. Sod that nonsense.C’mon, y’all can afford offset photographic printing for advertising your products but can’t even insert a letter size instruction sheet ? That cost ya this time

Great control
My 110lb rottie was not used to walking on a leash and would pull like crazy even with a harness. This gave me great control. I started with both his harness and this which which gave me almost complete control of his movements. After a few weeks I stopped using the harness and he now walks beautifully. We did get a second one for my daughters pitty she’s also a puller it did not work wonders for her. She doesn’t like it in her face at all! She smacks her head on the ground and tries to get it off to the point she scratched her nose open and it began to bleed. So it definitely depends on the dog but if your dog will wear it I highly recommend!

Very disappointed
I bought the face harness and dual leash. Both were things Iâve never used before. There were no instructions on how to put it on or make it fit. There was a little piece of paper that said âfollow instructions on the boxâ but it didnât come in a box. It came in a little plastic bag inside a mailing envelope. I can only assume this is a very poor quality product.

My dogs pull HORRIBLE and with the Halti it works AMAZING. No more pulling, itâs a nice relaxing walk. Once my dogs got used to it they would sit and wait for it to go on (my dogs are crazy).

Deixei para fazer a avaliação depois de um mês utilizando a ferramenta e só tenho elogios a fazer; o material é de ótima qualidade, robusto e macio tanto para o cachorro (coleira) quanto para o tutor (guia). Levei uma semana só acostumando minha cachorra a coleira andando com ela pela casa. Depois que vi que ela estava confortável, fui saindo apenas pela frente de casa, o vÃdeo anexado é do segundo dia. Após mais uma semana, enfim sai para um passeio de verdade com ela, e tive ótimos resultados com praticamente nenhum puxão.A coleira tem partes refletivas, o que garante mais segurança para passeios noturnos, tem folga para o cachorro abrir a boca para respirar/beber água/comer petisco (se pedido nas medidas corretas), é acolchoada na parte do focinho e tem um mosquetão de segurança para clipar em outra coleira de pescoço.A guia é bem macia para as mãos ao mesmo tempo que tem um material robusto e de qualidade tanto na costura, quanto nos anéis e mosquetões; é uma guia longa e super versátil, podendo utilizar como uma guia comum, mãos livres passando de forma transversal pelo ombro, mãos livres como guia de cintura, guia única utilizando um mosquetão na coleira e outro em outra coleira/peitoral do cão, ou até mesmo levando dois cães simultaneamente com um mosquetão em cada.Sinceramente não teve nada que achei de negativo na guia e coleira, super recomendo.
