Customers say

Customers like the quality, nutrition, and ingredients of the pet food. For example, they mention it’s a top tier food, has great ingredients, and is one of the highest protein rich dog foods on the market. That said, some complain about the diarrhea. Opinions are mixed on value, smell, and ease of eating.

    Our pup likes this food
Our Morkiepoo likes this food, and she seems healthy eating it. The vet thinks that as well. A little pricey for the product, but appears to be of better quality than previous foods we have tried. Dog Food Advisor has the specs of this and others for comparison.

My dog still loves this brand 2 1/2 years later.
I’ve had my dog Luna on this brand since she was 3 months old. She still loves it. People always compliment how healthy, soft, and shiny her hair is.I know it’s expensive compared to many brands but for the quality it’s worth it. Can’t put a price on my dogs health.

Older picky dog loves this stuff.
80 lb australian shepherd, 8 years old. She’s a little tubby, and has a few medical issues, so she’s become a full time inside lap dog. Since then she’s become incredibly picky about what she eats, she wants people food, which only makes her belly problems worse, haha. I’ve tried 3 varieties of orijen now, and both dogs just gobble it up. This is the only fit n trim type dog food I’ve ever tried that dogs love to eat. It’s top tier food, great ingredients, and she’s feeling pretty great while eating it. Will order again.

    Nothing but the Best!
When you absolutely adore your dog, you choose a high quality and safely made dog food like Orijen. My two Rhodesian Ridgebacks are large, healthy male dogs who love to eat. We’ve fed them Orijen since day one in addition to raw, and we feel they are getting the best balanced diet including turkey, chicken and fish. Having it on subscription makes life easy, especially with how much these dogs like to eat. We’re so thankful for a great food that our dogs really enjoy, and keeps them healthy and active.

One of the Top Dog Kibble You Can Feed Your Dog
I rescued a 7 month old Husky recently. When I took her into the Vet for a wellness check, I had asked the vet what would be the best food for her. Without hesitation the Vet said Purina Pro Plan was the best! So trusting my vet I went out and bought the food.I feed my dog the Purina Pro Plan food and she sniffed around it at first and ate it. The food gave her diarrhea. Knowing huskies have notoriously sensitive stomachs, i thought I’d try sticking to it to see if she normalized. It wasn’t happening.During that time decided to educate myself on dog foods. Obviously fresh dog food is the best. I don’t have time to scratch make dog food myself, and the fresh dog food in the big brand stores is either too expensive, or I cannot depend on them to keep it in stock regularly enough.I came across Orijen dog food and the first thing I noticed were the ingredients. The first ten ingredients in a dog food is pretty telling. Here’s the first ten for Orijen’s Original Dog Food: Chicken, turkey, salmon, whole herring, chicken liver, dehydrated chicken, dehydrated turkey, dehydrated chicken liver, dehydrated egg, and dehydrated sardine. Did you see mention of any “by-products” or “meal”? Nope, because it’s not there. If you take a look at the first ten ingredients for Purina Pro Plan for puppies they are: Beef, rice, whole grain corn, poultry-byproduct meal, whole grain wheat, egg product, beef fat, pea fiber, fish meal and natural flavors.Clearly Orijen is the winner here. What they put in their dog food is so much better for our four legged friends.I switched my husky to Orijen’s Original food and things have been great. She has a beautiful shiny coat. She has had no digestive issues. Her energy level has gone up and she enjoys this food!Don’t ask your vet what to feed your dog. There’s a reason they suggest Purina and it’s not because it’s the best food for them. Do your research. Purina doesn’t even make the top 20 when it comes to foods that are better for your dog.Try Orijen if you’re looking to feed your dog well!..

    Bang for your buck
My dog loves Orijen! She is very picky with food and this is the only one we’ve tried (amongst many) that she’ll eat. I love the clean ingredients – no hydrogenated oils, no cheap filler ingredients (corn, wheat, etc.), and it has a lower carb/higher protein content which is more aligned with a dog’s natural diet. In addition, they use wild caught fish versus farm raised, as well as some wild and free-run meat. These are ingredients I gravitate towards for my own food, and thus my dog’s food as well. Everyone comments on how silky and soft her fur is. We’ve been feeding this to her for several years now. I rotate between the Original, Regional Red, and Six Fish to give her the most variety. While the great ingredients help justify the price of the food, you also get more meals by weight with Orijen than with other kibble because it has higher caloric and nutrient density. For example, a good number of dry dog food brands I’ve seen is roughly 370ish kcal/cup (some more and some are less), whereas Orijen is 470-ish. So you’re getting somewhere in the ballpark of 27% more meals by volume. I feed my dog 1.75 cups per day, whereas I’d need to give her 2.4 cups of other dog food for the same amount of cals. I’d encourage you to do a quick comparison with the other brand(s) you’re considering and the recommended serving sizes. Of course caloric density can vary, but Orijen is the highest I’ve come across. All in all, great ingredients, and a food that my dog will actually eat!

    Extra fiber
My dog has been on Orijen for a year now, since I adopted him in Oct ’23. He’s been having issues with anal glands and we have been supplementing pumpkin and Glandex with little improvement.Just switching him to this high-fiber version of Orijen (while still supplementing pumpkin and anal gland supplements) has made a dramatic difference in firming up his stool and helping him naturally express his glands. No-scooting, no bloating and he seems a lot happier. Will purchase again!

  9. Melanie B

    Dogs love it

  10. Joaquin Lara Rodriguez

Mi cachorro lo acepto de manera asombrosa, y en 10 dias se puede notar la diferencia en la alimentación premium que este alimento aporta.

  11. Yessica

Me gusta el producto, llego súper bien el paquete

  12. Diane

It is so nice to be able to order the pups favorite food from home!

  13. Manuela

El producto caduca en un mes. Mi perro no lo terminará en un mes. Así que, o lo tiro o se lo doy caducado. Dado que el coste es muy elevado, habría preferido un producto más fresco.
