Great Litter box! (medium to large cats) NOT xl cats!
Works really great for my two large cats, I love the flip back hood. It makes it really easy to clean. Itâs wide, tall and deep, keeps the litter inside and traps the odor as well.

This litter box is super light but is fairly good quality. The box itself is pretty deep so you can easily fit 3 inches of litter inside and still have plenty of room to spare! The lid snaps on (like shown in the picture) but you can be rest assured that it won’t come off. It’s decent at keeping the smells inside, no worse or better than other litter boxes.

Somehow we own 3 of these for 1 cat, but they work great
We’ve had two for a long time for our one cat, and we got a third when we had to watch a close friend’s cat while they were out of state for a medical reason. While keeping the cats quarantined from each other, we set the extra box up for guest kitty. Once we finished quarantine, the cats were happy to use each others’ litter boxes, and now our cat uses this new one in her rotation.It seems evolution has failed our poor cat, as she doesn’t quite understand the concept of burying her mess, and instead prefers to just scratch the wall of the box. To her credit, I will take that any day over flinging the litter out of the box. Regardless, this litterbox is well set up for her antics. We keep the flap up, she really loves having her head out of the box while using it, but thanks to good litter the smell isn’t an issue.Cleaning the box is fairly straightforward. Take the lid off, wipe it down with disinfectant, etc. I would have loved if there was a little more of a tight curve at the front to make pouring out litter when changing the litter (like an orange slice-shaped pouring spout just at the very front of the bin), but really that is such a trivial once-a-month issue that it’s not worth affecting the rating at all. The only other thing is that you probably shouldn’t try to lift the box when full by the handle on the lidâit’ll just pop off (the lid, not the handle) if your litter is heavy like ours.It fits perfectly under my circa-2008 Ikea Lack side table, but no idea if the measurements are the same as the current model as it was a special edition version. Cat claws may leave a little mark on the box if your cat is really into scratching, but probably won’t damage it.Will not fit a Maine Coon cat, probably. We’ve got a slightly chonky lil mix baby with stubby lil legs. She fits perfectly with room to spare. Guest kitty was larger, also fit well. But I can’t see an enormous cat fitting well.

Do you have a Maine Coon cat?Do you have a problem finding a litter box that is big enough for your cat?After searching and buying the largest box they had in the pet store (which was not big enough…) we found this.+ Cat uses it+ Almost big enough (see below)+ Tall enough for the cat+ Keeps litter mostly inside the box (see additional comment, below)- Not big enough in that the flapper/door cannot be used – it will be in his face and that is a non-starter. – If we close the flapper/door, he won’t use it- Could be longer, he can barely turn around in the box=============Other: added a mat (not included!) under/in front of the box to trap most of the litter that is on his paws when exiting the box.If we needed a bigger box, we might have to use a large Sterilite storage tub and create our own version of a litter box…Notes about the pictures:=====================Boris the cat, has given his permission to participate in the pictures here.Each floor tile is 12″ by 12″ for reference.

Great Covered Litter Box
I bought this to replace one I purchased at a local store. I needed a new one because three of the four “:latches” broke off of the first box which eliminates the ability to use the handle for moving it to other areas, such as outside to remove the used litter and scrub it clean. This Amazon Basics one is good quality and more color coordinated for my room. It looks huge at first glance but is actually smaller than the one I’m replacing. I have one normal sized adult cat and one that is much smaller. Despite the different size of this new litter box, both of them are using it. I hesitate to order another one because I’m not consistently “locking” the top and bottom. It’s not automatic for me. I put the top and bottom together the same way each time — sometimes it locks and sometimes not. Very frustrating because I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Despite the locking issue, the look and feel of this box is very satisfying.

Great litter box for “normal” cats
I like everything about this litter box, the corner configuration works great for my space. It’s spacious enough for multiple cats that you don’t need to scoop multiple times a day. I’ve kept it much longer than recommended because it is easy to clean on the daily with the nicely sloped bottom edge. Some boxes are too squared off making it difficult to scoop easily if kitties pee right at the edge, and I have one of those types. I would gladly repurchase except that I recently adopted another kitty who has the strange habit of sometimes standing upright to pee, and to make it worse, she has long legs! If you observe this behavior in one of you kitties, this one isn’t for you. Buy one of the 13″ high models as I am about to do.So there are four problems with my weird cat situation that mean I need a different style:1) the bottom of the box is not high enough, only about 8-9 inches,2) the lid fits over the outside so the pee goes through the opening and runs down the side of the box onto the floor, sometimes even onto the wall, which means3) the added expense of needing to compensate for that with puppy pads around the two sides taped to the wall and partially under, and4) the sheer aggravation of having to do this every few days to keep the urine smell down (until I observed her doing this I couldn’t figure out why I could still smell cat pee even though I usually scoop twice a day.

This litter box is too large for the space = my mistake perhaps in miscalculating it. it arrived promptly, was well (albeit minimally) packed in a large box. Easy/virtually no assembly and good quality it seems. Note that the triangle model DOES NOT HAVE A DOOR. It’s well designed and certainly large enough for a huge cat or multiple cats. Can’t comment further as I returned it as it isn’t what I need/wanted. As always – this is easy to do with wonderful Amazon.!!

Our domestic shorthair, Frank, is a large 5.8kg (13lb) cat, who kept pooping outside of all the standard size litter boxes we’d buy for him. He would try to fit the long way, but his butt would constantly hang over the side or he would poop on the litter box wall, because he was too big. This box is absolutely perfect for larger cats. The sides are high so it captures any and all spray, and even if he stands the short way (with his butt facing the door) to poop, it’s always in the box and not on the wall. Can highly recommend this for larger cats! We don’t have a lot of space to fit a box, so we needed a corner one to save space. This was larger than we’d like (see pictures) but it works, and that’s what counts.You sent
