Grat for the price
I obviously altered it but it works amazing as a large enclosure for my bearded dragon. He loves it and it was super easy to alter the directions were a bit hard.

Lock doesnât work and lack of quality control on paint
The locking mechanism does not lock, making this unsafe for my small rabbit. The top can be easily lifted and lock just comes undone, as can be seen in video. Also, the bright orange paint/wood stain that the manufacturer used on this piece was very sloppy and definite lack of quality control as can be seen from the pieces that were sent. I stained it a darker color to hide the manufacturers poor paint job and the many chips and imperfections in the wood pieces. Went through all of this effort to get to the very last step of building, being adding the lock, only to find the lock is defective, therefore making this animal enclosure totally unsafe. Loved the idea of this but it was just not worth the money and the time spent on it. Itâs not safe and not good quality. After contacting the seller about the issues, they offered me a $27 refund on a $95 item; said that was their best offer, up from the original $18 they offered. I accepted it as its better than nothing but I am disappointed in this product and experience and would not recommend purchasing⦠Especially if you are wanting to keep your animal(s) safe.

Assembly: If you don’t have a power drill, I wouldn’t bother with this product. Most of the screw places don’t have pre-drilled or started holes. The instructions have no words and the pictures leave you guessing on some things.Quality: The quality of the wood is extremely poor. Several of the pieces were warped and wouldn’t lay flat and there were several knots in the wood in places that made the whole thing less durable. The paint job really is terrible. Most of the pieces didn’t match in color and they were a much brighter orange color than indicated in the pictures.Design: This may come down to quality ,but when I finished getting it all together, there was more than a half inch of space between the two opening top doors. I didn’t even bother with the terrible latching mechanism. I could feel how flimsy it was and if people who didn’t have this much space between the doors couldn’t get it to work, it know mine with the big gap wouldn’t work as well.Summary: It’s a major pain to assemble, the quality of the wood is abysmal, and the securing mechanism is a literal joke in that it is haha funny that anyone would think that this would hold these doors together. I give it two stars because it’s not completely useless and will serve its purpose of allowing my bearded dragon to be safe while basking outside.

UPDATE – After starting the return process, the company reached out to me to let me know they refunded my money and that I didn’t have to return the product to them. They were more concerned about working with their manufacturing facility to make sure that their products are made to their standards. Thank you for such great service!!I regret buying it. The instructions are not easy to follow. And, the quality of the wood wasn’t great – it was easily dented with my fingernail, so what would happen if my guinea pig chewed on it. If this is used as an outdoor hutch it seems like rain/water would damage it almost immediately. And if a dog or even a cat were to try to get in they wouldnât have to try very hard.

We bought this product because it would have cost us close to the same in materials to make the same. The instructions were not clear and we were missing screws for assembly. Luckily we are handy enough to have extras laying around the house. The pieces are not clearly marked so you have to look closely at the one illustration to figure out which is which

Disappointed in quality
I really wanted to like this because it’s the perfect size but pieces were not cut to fit, many holes not predrilled, wood split upon screwing, locks were useless. The only reason I am not returning it is because I’ve already added hardware cloth for more predator protection. Instructions were easy. This would have been perfect if the wood was cut correctly and predrilled to fit. It’s lightweight and looks nice. Too bad it just doesn’t make me feel my tortoise is safe and since that is what really matters I’ll be looking for a better option.
