Saving the birds anf lizards with a vibrating cat collar
I bought this collar to keep my cat from catching birds and lizards. I tried using colorful collars and it did help with the birds but not with the lizards. So, I thought I would give this a try. I wasn’t sure it would work or not and several friends told me they didn’t think it would work at all and that I was wasting my money. In my instance it does seem to work. I use it only when I am outside with my cat. I put it on the highest vibrating setting (#9) On the first day, I sat outside and waited until I saw her stalk a bird. As soon as she ran towards it and almost grabbed it, I pushed the button on the remote. She immediately stopped and ran away from the bird. Another time, I was too late and saw her with a hummingbird in her mouth. I pushed the button but she ran under the house. I pushed the button again and again, over and over. She came out from under the house with the bird in her mouth. I got closer to her and kept pushing the button. She was distracted and let me get close enough to take the bird from her. I thought it was dead but when I opened the palm of my hand, it flew away! Another time, I saw her with a lizard. I pushed the remote several times and she released it. It was uninjured. So, it does work, but you have to be with the animal. I am hoping that she will stop chasing creatures eventually but she might not as she is still young. In the meantime this seems to be helping A LOT. One note, if you push the remote vibrate button, it will stop after about 8 seconds. Then wait a few seconds and push it again. Keep pushing the button over and over. There will be that delay, but if it stops, just wait a few seconds and try again. It will work. I’m very happy with this purchase. I didn’t want an electric collar as I didn’t want to hurt her and I wanted something small because she is a very small cat.

    Doesn’t work as Advertised
I would save your money, if I could give zero I would. It’s terrible and does not work like it says it does. The vibrations are incredibly week and did not stop my cats meowing. Not to mention, it doesn’t just catch the meows on its own you have to manually buzz it yourself when you hear it so it doesn’t stop him from waking me in the morning. INCREDIBLY DISAPPOINTED!!!

  3. FitMommy

    Didn’t work on my cat.
My cat was in heat for what felt like eternity. She would not shut up…ever! Day and night meow meow meow. Tried this and it didn’t help. She barely quieted after putting it on her and once she got used to it her yowls were even louder (if that’s possible). Pretty sure she was telling us how much she hated it. Haha

  4. Tater Salad

    It irritated my cat’s skin
I’ve had this for over a month. It works decently. My cat started waking me by scratching my new chair. This only happened at 4:30 am daily. She stopped this nonsense after about 5 shocks. However, she started up again in the last week.A month ago when I first used it, She used to scratch her neck which I thought was just her trying to get the collar off. That is not the case. She is scratching because the collar is irritating her neck because of some chemical on it. This happened the first go round, but I ignored it. I feel really bad because she’s pretty miserable when she wears the collar unless she is sleeping. She is not scratching the collar itself. She is scratching her neck. She only had it on from 10 PM until 5 am because they are not supposed to wear it for a long time. Unfortunately, I cannot get my money back because it’s been too long.

    Basically what you expect
Using it to train my cat to not mercilessly kill hummingbirds. It worked at first, but she surprisingly quickly became unphased by the vibration, even as I turned the level higher and higher, getting all the way to level 9. She’s more confused by it then anything. She mostly ignores it now, but will sometimes look around like she is confused by where the sound is coming from. If anything, the sound of the vibration at least scares off the hummingbirds, and might be training THEM to stop stupidly repeatedly going up to my cat. Apparently they are fascinated by her, because they’ll hover very near to her (within 1-2 feet) for a long time or until she makes her move. I’m going to try this on a thicker collar. Maybe the better fit will make the collar stay closer to her neck and so she’ll feel the vibration more. I only use breakaway collars on my cat, so I attached this to a regular collar (punched holes in it with a leather puncher) rather than the provided collar. The weight of the unit makes it weigh down the collar and hang under the cat’s chin, so it isnt actually making contact with her, just her fur.

Cat hates it(good thing I swear)
Great job of helping keep my raccoon of a boy cat out of my kitchen and his sisters food. Discovered that the audible beep gets more results and is also a handy location tool for when he doesn’t want to be found.

  7. Josh Santiago

Horrible product-Dont Buy-Almost killed my cat!!!
This is a horrible unsafe product!!! First of all the collar doesn’t fit a cats neck!! even on its tightest loop, my cat slipped it off, Half into its mouth, and was hurt badly. I would most definitely recommend Not buying this product. I’m sure you’re cats life means more to you than this bad product. It should be taken off the shelf and should not be used or offered for cats!!! Horrible manufacturer!

    It works!
I had to look for something because I work from home and there can be no noises .I’ve had this for about three months now. It does work, but does require a lot of charging.

  9. Laura

My very vocal cat was screaming non-stop. She took to this collar quite quickly, it’s very comfortable on her, and so far level 2 vibration has cut her screaming by 75%. It’s the only thing that has given me (and her) any relief.

Battery doesn’t hold charge for longCan’t n hear n beep unless you hold it close to youVibration does nothing to the catThin n it n needs to n be hatder

  11. Amazon Customer

    Didn’t work for our cat

  12. Tammy Vauclair

The cat collar vibrating at its highest didn’t even phase my cat. Not a very good device to help correct the cat when it climbs on the counter and he sits there and just stares at you when it’s vibrating at high speed.

  13. Dar

The collar worked for the first day but once the cat was accustomed to it, there was no effect even on the highest setting.
