Great hamster toy!
We have a Syrian Hamster and he loves this toy! There are three settings for the wheel (you can see them in the picture). The top spot makes it stationary, the middle allows it to roll on the floor, and the third and lowest is for a separate track you can purchase. My son loved that he was able to decorate it to his liking with the stickers that came with. Highly recommend

Overall this little car is pretty cute and it’s fun to watch your hamster drive away in it. Friends and family get a kick out of watching him go. It has different settings which allow you to keep the car stable or let it roll. My Syrian (AKA teddy bear) hamster likes it okay; he’s not too thrilled to roll around for very long-he usually goes a little bit and then he stops & cleans himself or falls asleep. He may start again but if he had a choice he’d much rather be running in his large wheel in his house. Like us, animals have preferences too & it might just be his.It is made of plastic so it may break if mishandled but it’s sturdy enough to roll across the floor (he runs into lots of walls/furniture) and I have more faith in it than the balls where the lids come off easily. As of yet we haven’t had any problems with the lid-located on the side-coming off and allowing him to escape.It’s a little tricky to clean: I put it in the sink and just soak it in water and dish soap and then try and scrub around as much as I can because it’s hard to get inside the little entrance hole.I’m giving it 4 stars because he doesn’t love it but I think it’s a really cute product and I think other hamsters might really enjoy it.

I love that the color came as pink, since it was random and we happen to have a little girl hamster; but the car part is pretty much useless. She still enjoys running in the little enclosed wheel part; but it does not move the car’s wheels. If my 8 yr. old had not decorated it, I would have returned it, since it does not work with the track specifically suggested for it and purchased at the time it was.Now, I’m buying a ball to see if it works in the track, better. If not, then definitely returning the track. Best option is not to buy, if trying to use as is shown, with the track, or as a mobile toy. Okay as a stand alone wheel.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my son’s hamsters. It is so cute and bigger than expected, but we haven’t tested it yet so we don’t know the functionality until they open it and try it. Great price

Doesn’t work on track and too big for dwarf hamsters
I wanted this to use with the kaytee track. It took me a minute to figure out how to put in the lower setting. Even then it didn’t work right. I doesn’t go around the track smoothly at all. Also it is very large. Way too large for my dwarf hamsters. Even with both of them in there together I think it would be hard. It appears really cheaply made to me. Honestly, I didn’t even have the heart to put my hamsters in this silly thing. I played around with it myself for 15 minutes and then put the cheap junk back in the box to return. I do like the track and it works great with my small kaytee ball. My hamsters have a hard time turning the ball on the floor but can really fly on the track. I do have the smallest robo dwarf hamsters. This car may work well off the track for full size hamsters or a full grown gerbil. Definitely not dwarfs or mice. Maybe a pair of dwarfs or mice could but really why? Just use a ball. Save yourself the $18 on cheap plastic and loose wabbly wheels.

It took me a minute to realize there were different settings for stying in place, then for him to zoom around, but once I got it Muffin was attempting to ram into every wall he could go to! It’s so funny to watch him run around. 5/5 stars highly reccomend!!!
