Works really well for cat grass seeds
I have been very happy with this set of 20 pieces Doter organic potting soil. They arrived in a resealable plastic bag. There is a little loose soil in the bottom of the bag but I didnât find this excessive. I presoaked my catgrass seed and in my picture you can see the result after only a few days. The seeds really seem to like this soil and Iâm happy that itâs organic for my cats. I added a little water to the discs and then added more as needed. The little round solid discs absorb water easily and expand quickly. The soil is very fine and is nothing like other soils (bags or discs) Iâve tried. I would assume this is because Iâve never used a coconut coir soil before. I used 1 1/2 discs for the little pot in the picture (a bonsai pot) with 1 disc for below and 1/2 disc to cover the seeds. My first watering dispersed much of the soil but as you can see the little seedlings are doing quite well and will be ready for cats soon.My Amazon rating system-Five stars-Great item. May have a minor flaw that does not detract from appearance or function.Four stars-Great item. Flaw or problem more noticeable. Or, price may be high for what it is.Three stars-Good item. Best soil
Love this handy soil. Small disks expand into containers making this a handy way of moving soil indoors. I put the soil into containers, added a lot of water and then put seeds inside and they happily grew. It was easier and seemed much less messy and cleaner than working with bags of soil. Also less heavy since the soil has no water in it upon arrival, and the water you add makes it expand.The soil dries in a different way than normal potting soil, it puckers on the sides more…

The package comes with a good sized, resealable/reusable, bag of 20 pre-measured, ready-to-use, miniature hockey pucks of organic potting soil, which can be used for basically any kind of seeds you wish to plant. It advertises for use with cat grass seeds, which I have tried, and it works perfectly. This soil is really easy to use too – just set one of the little hockey pucks of potting soil in whatever small planter/pot you wish to use, add a small amount of water, and it’s ready for seed planting. Overall, I think this is great organic potting soil. It’s high quality, and a great value multi-pack, with 20 pre-measured ready-to-use round organic potting soil slices (mini hockey pucks). The seeds planted in it grows well, and since it’s organic it’s safe for growing all types of edible plants, food, herbs, micro-greens, etc., for pets, as well as for people. I’d definitely recommend!

Doter Organic Potting Soil for Indoor Cat Grass, I am using this to grow catnip, good so far.
These small wavers of moisture grabbing soil really expand and hold on to water. I am germinating catnip plants and it’s going pretty well. The soil is good and comparable to other similar products.5 stars

Cat Grass and Chives Grow Well in These Convenient, Organic Soil Pucks
These organic potting soil pucks are perfect for my small indoor pots. Iâm currently successfully growing cat grass (oat straw) and chives. The plants really grow well in this coconut coir soil. I like that these come compressed, so they are easy to store.

This is not just for cat grass. It is ideal for growing any kind of herbs. I’m using it for my mint garden and I love it. The discs are easy to work with and they add all the nutrients that are necessary for healthy plants to thrive. I personally wear gloves when handling them but they are not that messy either way. There was only minimal debris in the bag and all of the discs were more or less fully formed. I would recommend this potting soil for anyone with indoor plants, whether or not you have cats!
