Itâs really cool, but every piggie is different
This is a really cool bed. I havenât seen anything like it and Iâve spent hours combing through piggie products on this site. The bottom really is stretchy, which I found cool. My piggies are always slow to adjust to new toys and this is no different. I put one in it and it took him a minute to get his bearing but then he loved it; he hasnât entered on his own though. I was then able to hold him and the bed in my lap for much longer than he will usually tolerate, since he felt comfortable and secure in the bed. I highly recommend this for kids or adults who struggle to cuddle their piggies. I tried to get the other to enter on his own by leaving treats in it, but he just sticks his head in to get the treats, takes them, and runs. I plan to keep trying with both of them. This is a cool, quality product – if your piggies are less suspicious and picky about things than mine, Iâm sure they will love it.

I am not able to provide an overly great review as my stubborn, highly food motivated little guinea pig does not seem to like this item for what it is intended for. It does appear to be well made and the replaceable bottom seems really nice. I have not washed this item yet so I cannot speak to the durability after washing. I currently use this item as a hideout for his fresh vegetables to find and that is about all he uses it for as he doesn’t like to be held very much. One time he was angry and started chewing on the outside and I found some of the fibers on the floor so I don’t know that it should be left in a cage unattended, but perhaps it just smelled like food for my little guy and I’ve never seen him do it again. I did place him in one time and forced him to cuddle for about five minutes and he seemed content and snuggled in, until he scurried out looking for food. 🙂 For snuggly guinea pigs, I would recommend this item!

Takes Some Time to Warm Up To, But Awesome
Emma loves a soft bed. This product is now her go-to lounging location.I was concerned that it would be another rejected pig accessory (our cavies are picky and opinionated) for the first few days. She avoided it, not knowing what this mass of fur was.Trying to lure her closer, I set the fuzzy circle on its side (like an upright tire swing) right next to her regular bed. At first she used it as a pillow. Eventually, she figured it wasn’t threatening and realized that her humans weren’t going to get it out of her habitat, so she investigated.It took her awhile to figure out that there’s a pocket behind the fuzzy padded “entrance”. She had never encountered Lycra fabric so had a hilarious few adventures trying to figure out why the pocket sprung back into place after her “adjustments.” (Barrel laughs from her human observers.)She’s a veteran now and loves this thing. Depending on her mood and temperature, we’ll see her head or rump sticking out of the gray fuzz. Or, we’ll see the whole cozy changing shape as she tries from the inside to move Lycra and faux fur into her preferred configuration.Genius design to have a separating zipper for the pocket! It is easily removed for washing and zips back in a snap. Em loves it with or without the pocket attached.We haven’t washed the fur section yet, so will update this review if any untoward outcomes are found.As with all things piggie, the hay and any other bedding does tend to get stuck in the fuzzy fur, but that’s not the fault of the product. (Guinea pigs are clean animals, but their supply entourage ends up not being very neat.)Bottom line, it’s great once your critter warms up to it. I’m planning to get three more for our other herd. They’re less adventurous than Emma so we’ll be patient as they adjust to the idea of a magic fuzz pocket.

I love my son Aka Guineaaaa and I am always looking for New Guinea pig products on the market to make him happy . Honestly the bottom of the pillow needs to be bigger and the hole opening. He doesnât know it is a bed that he can crawl inside so I have to manually put him in but once he is in the pillow he sleeps and gets comfortable. It is also very cute to take pictures of them in. My recommendation is to make the hole opening bigger and the bottom more spacious.

The quality of the fabric is great. Worth the money and kitten seems to feel very relaxed in the bed. The fabric being long and soft help stop them from suckling on each other. Finding something soft enough to help this can be hard. Highly recommend for neonatal/ orphan kittens. I plan on not drying them just to ensure the fabric stays soft.
