Great for large hamsters
This cage is very nice and large enough for a bigger hamster. I like how it has so many levels and a hideout spot. It was a bit difficult to set up the levels and ramps but it’s worth the effort.

Cage works great, but directions are horrible and a piece broke putting it together
The cage is great for our rescued rat. However the directions leave out putting the ramps and ladders on the top pieces, requiring you to go in remove pieces put on and pretty much starting over. Super frustrating. One of the clips the ladders attach to broke off putting on the ladder. Luckily as you can see from the video Sir Pistachio III likes to climb so I took some ladders out so he could do his thing, but this probably wouldn’t work for a smaller animal that can’t reach without the ladders.

Nice large cage, hamster loves it; easy to assemble and clean
So far this looks ok, but the blue plastic mezzanines are somewhat thin plastic.. one came broken, and when trying to assemble the cage the lower mezzanine’s attachment to the ramp readily broke. I really don’t know how long this will last, and would appreciate knowing how to get replacement parts for those that are broken. Also, the water bottle on top is flimsy plastic. I have a better bottle, made of glass, that can be connected to any cage, but then I am stuck with an actual hole on top! I had hoped this would be optional and there would be a cover for that hole in case we don’t use the bottle that comes with this set.Update: I contacted the company and they readily sent me replacement parts for all the mezzanines, as well as some toys for my hamster at no charge. Thank you! Unfortunately, they don’t make a cover for the top hole so we are still stuck with an empty bottle there (the bottle comes down too low for our hamster to be able to drink from it anyway, so I use another bottle for drinking).Other than that, our hamster loves the cage and makes his home in the nest upstairs. I also like that you can install a larger wheel (we have one of the large silent ones) on the side wall, and that it is easy to replace the bedding (I disassemble the bottom of the cage in seconds, and put the top on the floor so the hamster is still inside and cannot escape; throw old bedding out and put new in; you are done!) and to clean the “nest” (it comes off easily). A great cage!Now with all the toys the company sent my hamster, I need an even bigger cage 😉

Great house for Syrian Hamster
Excellent cage for my syrian hamster. It is a great amount of room for him and the levels are easy to place. I like them a lot because they are flat; for example he doesn’t have to climb up through a tube-like ramp. This is just flat levels that he does not have trouble getting up. He also loves the little compartment at the top and builds a nest in there of carefresh. It is also a really good spot to have easy-access for taking out your hamster to play or clean the cage. Overall, great cage and is worth the money to give your hamster some more room to play and explore. For size comparison, my hamster is a syrian one about 6 inches and it is the perfect size for him. Though you do need to get a bigger wheel, the wheel is for dwarf hamsters really. It is too small for a regular syrian.Note: also keep a water bottle or buy one–the water bottle was broken that I got, it could have just been a one-time defect, but the water bottle that comes with this did not work for me. This shouldn’t stop you from buying this cage though, it is one of the best I’ve seen. Just make sure you have a different water bottle for your hamster.

Needs improvement
The cage is a decent size but itâs a pain to put together. The ends of the coated wire are very sharp and I cut my hand trying to put this cage together. Also, Itâs very easy to break the plastic pieces while trying to setup the cage. I returned the cage and purchase a better one that doesnât have sharp wires.

I like how easy the instructions were to follow, and how nice the cage is once it’s put together. This is the 2nd cage I purchased for our 4 rats. 3 or 4 can fit in one cage comfortably, the other cage houses our 3 boys and this one has my pregnant female in it and will be for her and her babies, and then we will keep another boy and 3 of her daughters.

Way to small! Flimsy and difficult to clean!
The cage is too small, all the ledges are awkwardly placed making the cage crowded. The ramps are to steep especially the one all the way to the top my hamster was struggling sliding all over try to climb up. The top ramp disconnects constantly and my hamster got trapped in the top house and or the ramp falls practically on his head. The ledges are a sweaty aggravation to take on and off for cleaning. The ramps clips popped off already tryting to snap them on and off. The doors are hard to open. The wheel is to small for my hamster he didnât use it and just was chilling on the small area of the floor of the cage. The water bottle was not producing water! It was full but he was not getting anything out of it poor thing by the time I noticed he was manically practically biting the bottle I realized he had no water access almost a full day and night! This whole cage is just an overpriced aggravating hassle. Some of the snaps on the ledges broke off too. Now I missed my return window and will be spending another 60-100$ for a bigger and simpler designed cage.

Itâs so much better than the Crittertrail cages! The right kind of plastic used in each part of the cage, itâs not brittle or thin! Itâs great! The metal wire was well assembled and easy to put together, just read the instructions and count the bars! Absolutely perfect size for dwarf hamsters, or mice! I definitely recommend this above the standard plastic and metal cages you see at the pet stores. I was hesitant because some reviewers werenât happy but I think they just had a rough trip, mine came well packaged and was bigger then I envisioned, itâs excellent all around would buy again!

My hamster is very comfortable in this cage. He loves the house at the top and uses all the ladders and platforms. He loves to sit inside the food bowl and eat his food. The water bottle is good too and he uses it properly. Waiting for him to start using the wheel
