Timothy Hay is the most popular hay for small animals and it’s easy to see why. It’s leafy hay, with a soft stem, and it has just enough flower heads to attract bunnies (because it’s yummy). 80% of your friend’s diet should be great hay. Small animals need a constant supply of fiber to keep them healthy, so never let them run out. Ever. To keep the chinchilla hay smelling nice (which makes it yummier and more enticing), make sure they get a fresh supply at least once a day.

Hand-Selected Timothy Hay – We hand-pack each box in small batches to ensure only the highest quality 100% US-grown 2nd cut Timothy hay arrives at your door. 2nd cut Timothy hay is a perfect balance of stem, seed head , and leaf to provide the rough fiber needed for normal wear to healthy teeth and yummy features with a fresh smell to keep them coming back for more.
Earth-Friendly Packaging – As small animal owners, we know the importance of packing delicious snacks in safe ways for our small animal companions. No compression packing here that damages stem and leaf integrity, each package is shipped in a high-strength corrugated box for easy storage (and fun digging!).
Minimally Handled & Delivered Fresh – Make it easy to provide exactly what your little friend needs with regular shipments of fresh from the farm hay to wear down growing teeth and protect digestive health. Each delivery of premium Timothy hay for rabbits, guinea pigs, and chinchillas includes a great mix of protein, fiber and fat to keep them healthy. Your small pet may not thank you with words, but happy oinks and binkies will make you feel like the pet owner of the year.
Great for Bedding – In addition to being a crucial part of many small pet diets, Timothy hay also makes cozy bedding for hamsters, gerbils, mice, rats, ferrets and more. Since most of us aren’t up for doing laundry with tiny duvets, hay makes a wonderful, fresh smelling alternative that they will love to snuggle into.
100% Satisfaction Guarantee! – For you and your pets. We know pets can be picky. If your bunny (or piggy or chinny) stomps and turns up her nose, you can still rest easy.

Nice hay product.
This is a great way to buy hay, especially if you go through the smaller bags frequently. This stuff has a wonderful, fresh scent and the critters, Guinea Pigs, act like they like.I only found a little bit of ‘fines’ on the bottom. I suppose I could dampen this powder, compress it, dry it and make some treats. The hay is compressed in the box, but comes out easy.Had to order another, as the first lasted since late May, for two GP’s.

Green, long stemmed hay for my Piggies!
I have been searching for hay that is not cross-cut into 4″ pieces and not able to find it anywhere…until now! Piggies LOVE this fresh, green hay. THANK YOU

glad I made the switch!
I recently chose this hay after trying to decide on what hay to switch my 2 bunnies over to. it took awhile but it was worth the search. both bunnies and mama are happy. usually they prefer the cheaper stuff that’s not the best for them so iam very glad they’re happy with this hay! it’s enough to last awhile for the 2 of them, too; and they still eat their daily recommended amounts. the ONLY thing I do not like is that it’s so much all together in the box it can easily make a mess, so have to take some and put it in a separate container if you choose to and where you dont mind such a mess! I also use scissors to cut it down some to make it easier to grab the amount I need.all in all, though, this is now our new hay product!

Disappointed – Something changed
I have ordered the 2nd Cutting Timothy Hay for several months now. I ordered this brand and another one that was more stalky/high fiber cut. I kept ordering both because all of our rabbits and our guinea pig liked both of them, eating more of one first sometimes and then the other. But they cleaned both of them up. Very happy and glad I could give Variety to the animals too.BUT the past two 25 lb boxes of this hay I received were not as good as previous boxes. I just opened the most recent box after we ran out, and a lot of the hay is brown and it’s all REALLY dusty. My rabbits are hungry but they are barely touching it. That is a first for me where they just refuse to eat it… I don’t know what happened but this month I wasted my money and will have to go find a local farmer with a bale of hay or go to a feed store. Searched for other brands and will be ordering then instead for now. This company says “100% satisfaction guarnteed” in the listing and to contact them with problems… I searched all over and cannot find any ‘contact us’ info. That irritates me SO much!! If they respond to this review, I will update it and may consider ordering again. Very disappointed and frustrated right now!

More like twigs than hay
Getting 12-pound box nearly weekly for my guinea pigs. Quality is AWFUL last couple of months and getting worse. Hard as twigs. Very long sharp strands that give splinters or puncture skin when trying to break apart. Even my standard house scissors won’t cut through a small bunch. There is NO WAY this is fresh 2nd cut. I sort tbrough the entire box trying to find softer pieces, and that’s maybe 20% at most. Pigs won’t eat these hard pieces and they resort to eating more pellets because even the softer pieces go stale within a couple of hours in a bowl so I either have to check hay and swap it out evey few hours or I have to go to local pet store to get fresh Timothy Hay. I threw out 2 boxes or 24 pounds of hay from the latest shipments last week.I canceled my subscription and they refunded me the last 4 boxes because the quality has been so routinely bad.Waste of money to throw 75% or more hay out so I’m done with this product on Amazon. I’m lucky none of my pigs injured their face or eyes with these twig-like strands.Pet Select claims it may be Amazon warehousing issues where the shipments out are old or stale from long-term storage and I can’t verify since no dates on the boxes. I will now order directly from Pet Select to see if the quality is better. So disappointed because this was once quality hay but not from recent experience.

Despite the weight, the box was surprisingly easy to carry. My bunny was so offended that we didn’t open it the moment we got it! But we had to finish up another brand’s box first. Today was the day we finally opened the new box. I understand now why she was so keen! It is so green and the pieces are so long. And there are so many flower heads! Compared to this, the other brand might as well have been saw dust. I hope the rest of the box will have the same level of quality! I can’t see my bunny wasting very much of this hay at all and that makes it an excellent value for the money!

Small pets select hay it is indeed the Holy grail .I have tried all sorts before and indeed I had found a good product from a british company, but after about a year the product was not as the original anymore, at that point i came across small pets select,….off I went and there I stayed .I buy four products from them ,first cut Tymothy, second cut Timothy and oat hay,I also buy my bedding ,recycled paper. The quality of the hay is superb and if you compare it with the offers of other well known “names”you feel that you have previously, been taken for a ride and some people still areð£.The products are always fresh ,smell as nature intended and are dust free , Rosie ,my piggy is so happy with her lot that she like to sleep with her little face in it.Ps.the first cut suppose to be quite tough and it is perfect to keep teeth in shape,I would not offer it to hamsters or gerbils etc….to burrow in ,I am referring to one reviewer’s comment. There are more adept products for that purpose, including the very soft third cut. The service ,the packaging, and the efficiency of small pets select is also excellent . ð

Producto muy bien empacado, a mis conejitos les gusto, aunque escogen las tiras más delgadas y planas. Este heno les a caÃdo bien, ya que son conejitos adultos de 5 años, y no han tenido problemas con este alimento.
