How to put on SVD.PET headcollar 
Put on snout strap
Let your dog get familiar to the headcollar. Then, put the snout strap over your dog’s snout. Move the silicon protector to the centre.
Put on collar
Adjust the strap to the appropriate length then put the collar on your dog. Ensure the collar is positioned high and snug behind the ears.
Adjust and lock snout strap
Use the lock buckle to adjust the length of the snout strap. Ensure the loop is properly fitted. The strap should be snug but not too tight.
Attach dog leash
Attach the dog leash to the leash ring. Begin your training with short walks in familiar surroundings in your yard or a quiet area.

My dog does not like this collar. She is a rescue dog and 7 months old so I donât know if itâs due to past trauma. She manages to rub it off no matter how I adjust it. Itâs made well and pretty pink color. Easy to put on and seems it would be comfortable. In this case I think itâs my dog thatâs the issue.

Absolute Game-changer
I tried the name-brand “gentle leader” and hated it. This works so much better! The snout adjustment is so much easier with this one. It works great. Walks are now enjoyable again. No more sore arms from struggling to control a headstrong pup. I definitely recommend this product if your dog walks you.

A bit small for my Saint Bernard …
As a whole, these types of “gentle lead” collars are AMAZING. Basically a magic trick that has eliminated pulling. And our giant Saint Bernard was a puller. He could drag us all across the field and we thought we would lose our minds trying to train him to stop. Enter these. Boom. No more pulling. At the FIRST USE.Anyway, our first of these was not this particular brand, but this one is just as good and a little nicer quality than the first one we had. However, it is a bit small for our dog. We got the “large dog” size, so if there is a bigger size we may need to try that next time. It still fits, but just a tiny bit too snug I think (the nose part, the rest is fine).

NOT CHEW PROOF
We kept our dog in this while out in public and within Ten seconds she chewed through this gentle leader. It is definitely not chew proof. Find another brand, as my dog made short work of this! This is our second gentle leader, and we will be searching for another brand. We thought by the reviews that this one was going to hold up, but in our case, it did not.
