Pretty awesome
Okay, I really liked this kit. It came in good packaging, with details on box and how to booklet. All item came labeled. I show you the soil pre water and post once I added water- it grew! Like fluffier I added the seeds-which again came labeled with year of use and packaging. Iâm all about details. It grew quickly! I left it in my food pantry on back shelf. Nice and warm. I think it took 7 days. For this much in photos to grow. Oh it has enough for three pots/ containers but I grew one first. I havenât grown anymore. My cat is weird! Ha. She wasnât that interested. She still prefers to be outside and eat grass from our years. Oh well. I put the grass in my bathroom, for some greenery. So it still worked out. Definitely give it a go !

Grew in days. Easy setup.
The grass grew in a few days. Very easy to put together. The plastic pots are similar to a pint package of blueberries with the lid separate from the bottom – maybe even thinner plastic, which is good for reducing waste. After a week, the soil got moldy, which is probably my fault for overwatering. Out of 4 cats, 2 ate the grass. Both threw up soon after. I gave this 5 stars because it’s a great kit, but didn’t work for us.

I tried this out to see if it would keep my cats from eating/chewing on my plants. And itâs worked very well. It was super easy to grow with very little maintenance to maintain them. I planted the first set the day I received them in the mail and two are still growing but they are getting a little sparse and arenât growing as well so Iâve planted a new one in the 3rd dish just a few days ago and already has shoots sprouting up. I like how my fur babies love this grass. One of them is always eating it. And sheâs left my other plants alone COMPLETELY! It takes about 5-7 days for the grass to grow tall enough for them to nibble on. Iâve even started cutting some up into their wet food I give them in the mornings. To keep them from nibbling on my other plants itâs important to know the cat grass needs to be sitting away them. I have mine in a window in a separate room where there are no other plants. Since they started chewing on this grass and eating it in their food my plants are starting to grow without all the chewed up leaves. And are looking great!Iâm not particularly fond off the containers to grow them but they do their job.

Decent kit but kinda pointless
I got this for my two 1 year olds. The kit is easy to set up and get going, but for what you get it just seems pricey. Obviously every cat will react different, as some will love it much more than others, but my two only were initially curious when I placed it out the first time and now just ignore the planters all together.As for the kit itself you will need something else to place this in as the planter itself from the kit is just flimsy thin plastic and if your cat actually tried to work on the grass more than a gentle lick, I can only imagine the mess it will make when it tips over, which it will with the slightest tug. That said I put mine on a cardboard box top so just in case or when they finally actually engage with it and inevitably knock it over I won’t end up with damp soil everywhere…One tip is you definitely don’t need to use the entire seed packet per batch. I got the 3 pack, and used about 60% the seeds from 1 of the 3 seed packets and that was still plenty of grass that filled the planter in the density of an average lawn. You can at least squeeze out a few extra batches if you have or can get more nutrient rich soil.

This was super easy to grow. I tried three different volumes of water and found that 18 tbsps of water was the ideal amount to start with. I live in a dry climate, so needed a little extra to boost the seeds.My cats however have no interest in eating it.I have begun using it in my own veggie smoothies though and love it!
