I got this for a 10lb bunny! Itâs very sturdy and well made. Good for walks in cool temperatures. I might have to get a mesh one for the summertime.

The product seems to be of great quality however it reaks of cigarette smoke. The smell is so bad I doubt that I will ever use it. I didn’t pay for second hand smoke!

Our Dog Does Not Seem Thrilled Yet
This backpack looks great and appears to be of good quality. It is made of Oxford 600D fabric, which is known for its strength, durability, water resistance, and versatility. The backpack features a transparent bubble window, allowing us to keep an eye on our pet while also providing them with a great view. The material of the bubble is not specified. Additionally, it is equipped with multiple ventilation holes to ensure ample air circulation.The back of the backpack and the shoulder straps are padded for comfort. We have a Chihuahua-Miniature Pinscher mix who weighs around 7 lbs, and he fits quite well inside the backpack. However, he doesnât seem too thrilled to be inside unless we open the side meshed-door so he can stick his head out. A safety hook inside the compartment helps prevent the dog from jumping out.Over time, we hope our dog will get used to staying inside and enjoy it more. While it is too early to judge its long-term durability and reliability, this backpack is well-designed, and we are hopeful that our dog will grow to like it. If anything changes, we will update our review. At the moment, we recommend it.

I had to try. I could envision walks around the neighborhood with my orange boy happily watching birds and squirrels while safe behind his bubble window. My cat does not share my vision. Oh, he was curious enough, even poking his head in and having a good sniff before retrieving the treats I put in there to draw his attention. Hours later though, when I attempted to zip him in when I saw him sitting in it (he fit, so he sat), he quickly squeezed his way out before I could finish zipping. Before leaving the room, he turned and gave me a questioning look I took to mean, “Lady, what were you even thinking? We’ve been together for 12 years. Do you not know me at all?” I think perhaps he associates it with his travel carrier that always means either a quick trip to the vet or an 8 hour drive. If you’ve got a kitten or a much younger cat, perhaps they’ll be open to this new experience, but I think it’s asking a bit too much of a senior cat. I’m glad I tried though.The carrier itself is very well made and it was comfortable when I tried it on, sans cat, to adjust the straps. Unlike another buyer who said the carrier arrived smelling of cigarette smoke, mine had no odor whatsoever besides the slight “new plastic” smell from being in a sealed plastic bag, and it dissipated quickly. There seems to be a sufficient # of vents, with the one zippered side screen panel adding even more air flow. The side pocket seems pretty redundant since there’s a big zippered pouch on the front just under the bubble window. I think it would be better if that side pocket had been another screened panel/window instead, even if only one of the screen panels had a zipper. While the inside space is probably adequate for a cat up to maybe 10-12lbs, I think my 14lb orange boy felt a bit cramped in there, even though the curved bubble window does expand the space somewhat. There’s a separate, stiff “floor piece” that fits into the bottom to give it a flat surface with some stability but I can’t tell if that piece would stand up to washing should an “accident” happen. The zippers work smoothly and the straps & buckle bits seem adequately long and strong. I only wish my boy liked it.

I rate this an easy five stars. My cats totally disagree! Iâm hopefully they will get used to it in time. We are currently using it as a snack station in hopes we can condition them to hop in on their own with time.The bag itself seems sturdy and is comfortable. My 10 lb chunk fits with room to move around. It has plenty of ventilation holes and a padded bottom.This was chosen for our college age son who travels with his cat back and forth to school. This will be a great way for him to get his cat from the car carrier to their room or for quick stops on their drives. Now he will have the ability to stop and take a bathroom break or run into the pet store to grab kitty supplies without having to carry a bulky crate.Pictures arenât great, but may help show size. for reference, Iâm 5â3â and the cats in the pictures are each around 10 pounds. They were too busy scarfing up snacks to pose for the pictures.
Frustration Level 10 –
Very uncomfortable
This carrier seems sturdy and looks well-made. It smelled really bad after opening but over time the smell aired out. My cats were very interested in it at first and went in to check it out but were not too thrilled to be carried around in it – their heads would bump into the window with every step. My biggest issue is that this backpack is very uncomfortable for the wearer. The bottom part that acts as the floor for the cat digs into your back no matter how high you have the pack. Maybe waist straps would help with that? Nobody in my family wants to wear it because of that.

So far…. my cat is curious but not yet a fan. Maybe in time he’ll come to like it.Aside from that! This pet backpack is NICE. I love the quality and thickness of the materials used. It feels sturdy. The dome is huge. Lots of air holes, some pockets, and a side entrance/exit for your pets. I love the extra padding on the back/straps to make it more comfortable for the wearer. The color is lovely. Overall I really like this product. I just hope my little man will start to warm up to it aswell.
